August 2017 Club Championships
2017 Eagle Glen Players Club Championship 36 holes
The weather on the weekend was HOT and so was the GOLF!!
Saturdays round;
Gross Division was setup for a rematch from our 2016 event. Steve Bemis still remembers the Blistering that Aaron Hobbs put on Eagle Glen GC in 2016. Steve Bemis set the tone of the day with a HOT 3-under par 69. The stage was set. There were some New Players with some regulars trying to keep an eye on Steve and match his pace. Rounding off Saturdays play Gerardo Munoz-74, Aaron Hobbs-75, Heather Moorhead-75, Jason Aceves and Ethan Munoz-76.
Net Division was divided into two separate divisions with the large turnout.
Division A, was led by Gerado Munoz-70, Jason Aceves-71, Dennis Palpallatoc and Heather Moorhead-73, Marty Ensey, Brian Becker and Ethan Munoz -74 giving chase.
Division B; highlights were led with Manny Bernal-68, Mike Alkhoutoff-69, Haydee Moor and Danny Day -70 rounding it off.
Sunday’s round;
Weather was PERFECT and the PLAYERS were READY!!
Gross Division
Steve Bemis was hoping for another solid round to BACK up Saturdays round, or were one of the challengers going to show up on Sunday with a HOT putter….
Steve Bemis carded another SOLID 69 ending with a two day total of 6 under par. Gerardo Munoz finished with 150 for 2nd place Gross, while Aaron Hobbs carded a 151 for 3rd Gross.
Net Division A
Gerardo Munoz played two solid days of golf to finish 1st Place Net with a total score of 142 net. (not available to win in both division Gerardo took the larger payout of the two) Bobby Parker moved up 8 spots with a fine net 70 on Sunday to slip into 2nd place with a total net score of 145. Matt Kolodge shot a solid net par 72 to finish in 3rd place with a total of 148.
Net Division B
Danny Day blistered the Course with a Gross score of 76 for a net score 65 to finish in 1st place with a 2day total of 135 (9 under par). Haydee Moor followed up her Saturday round with a solid even Net par of 72 to finish in sole second place with a 36 hole total of 142 (2 under par). 3rd place went to Mike Alkoutoff with a 2 day total of 144.
