Next Eagle Glen Players Club Event - Individual Stroke Play Feb 19th

Join us Sunday February 19th for an Individual Stroke Play Tournament with multiple net flights. There will be gross payouts also.

Cost will be 39.00 for the green fees + 20.00 for the prize fund. 8:00 shotgun. Optional entry into the skins ($20) is additional, and with entry into skins it will also get you into the closest to the pin contest. Cutoff to pay to enter the skins contest is 7:30am. There is an optional hole in one insurance for $2. This is a Members ONLY tournament.

The Tournament of Club Champions flight (Gary Player Flight Handicap Indexes 8.5 and above), held at Desert Island wrapped up Monday December 5.

Robert Clark (middle) is with Richard Kyle, who shot a 10-under par 62, Stacey Woodman net 66, Robert Clark net 70, Ed Antosz net 73 and Anthony Copeland net 73. See the Writeup and Get Full Results. It's quite an honor to win a plate from the SCGA. When you see him, shake his hand. Well Done, Robert.

Desert Island's championship course surrounds a 25-acre lake nestled at the foot of the breathtaking San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountain ranges. Desert Island's golf course is free of houses, resulting in magnificent lake and mountain views everywhere you look.

High Santa Ana winds were the main theme at the 4th Annual Senior Tournament of Club Champions at Seacliff CC. EGPC Member Diego Lopez finished 14th with a net 77. The SCGA Tournament of Club Champions brings together senior club champions over the age of 55 and with a Handicap Index of 5.4 or less.  Seacliff CC, a Press Maxwell/Ron Fream design, is situated less than one mile from the Pacific Ocean. The par-72, 6,508-yard championship layout is lush and stands of mature oak trees and swaying palms frame undulating Bermuda fairways. See Diego's Results

EGPC Member Kirk Bowman played in the SCGA Tournament of Chapmpions Gross Division at Newport Beach CC. Windy conditions, fast greens and a challenging course set up contributed to high scores for most of the field. The Newport Beach CC is located along Pacific Coast Highway in scenic Newport Beach. The maturity of the nearly 50-year old course makes it a popular stop of the Senior PGA tour as it is currently the host venue for the Toshiba Classic. The course was originally designed by William Bell in 1952 with later enhancements by Ted Robinson, Sr. The course record is 60, set by Tom Purtzer.  See Kirk's Results

Thanks for representing our club. If you'd like to play in the SCGA TOCC next year, you'll have to win our Club Championship 2 day event for 2012 held in August.
